Quote of the day

A man may imagine things that are false, but he can only understand things that are true, for if the things be false, the apprehension of them is not understanding."

I think the crux of the quote lies in the assertion that..

"..the apprehension of them (false truths) is not understanding."

I guess, Newton was just trying to act smart by playing around with words (and their meanings)....and driving home the fact, that... PERCEPTION, IS NOT REALITY !!

I love Newton !!! (in a strictly asexual manner)

hmm.. abt pseudo-reality.. its just an excuse of trying to figure out things happening in the now and here.. if you can be indifferent to the real, there's no need for the pseudo real anymore.. other than that.. ashish, check the spelling of your "psuedo"
cheers,
A.

Truth is indeed not absolute, but its us who have the choice to believe in it. And It will never be possible by pure reason to arrive at some absolute truth.

So, Our perception coupled with our learnings and beliefs indeed is reality.

God offers to every mind its choice between truth and repose. Take which you please - you can never have both.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
