Another interesting view.. to the last mentioned discussion. I yesterday recieved the following comment from Ashish, which i thought would help provide an insight and a contrasting view to as to why people enjoy Rock Music... "What happened to your ...guitar as an extension of masculinity"theory...don't u believe in that ne more...I was thinking of converting to it ....Well to be honest music is different from political radiations in terms of the emotions you expose, and ur tendency to react...u tend to appreciate some by nodding horizontally ..(Classical Indian, gazals etc)...some by nodding vertically (Rock)...some by dancing (Punjabi)...and some by just thumping you legs (Jazz, punk etc)....you wd never appreciate to the pinnacle, classical by headbanging or thumping...or rock by horizontal nodding or dancing ...or the rest of the combinations...think about it .
